Owner/Operator Michael Kussmann started painting and building while studying at the American Academy of Art, Chicago and the University of New Mexico. In 2001, Michael received a Bachelor of Art from Columbia College where he also was enrolled in a graduate studies Art Education program. While working towards his Master’s degree, Michael started to create faux finishes and found an appreciation and satisfaction in it. He began to receive a lot of interest in his work, ultimately resulting in the conception of Earth Tone Decorating, Inc. in 2003. Michael has turned his attention to detail, craftsmanship, and background in Art into a full-service decorating company, focusing on customer satisfaction and perfection.
